Environmental management is vital to our business. Good water quality results in healthy oysters and high quality pearls.
We recognise our responsibility to farm pearls in a sustainable and responsible manner.
- The akoya pearl oyster (Pinctada imbricata) is native to NSW waters.
- We use the best practise long-line farming method which eliminates the need for treated timber infrastructure, prevents entanglement and minimises water obstacles for dolphins, whales and turtles.
- Our pearls are seeded using an organic bead made from mussel shell.
- Our pearls are processed on site using a completely natural walnut and saline mixture to remove protein residue.
